Rachel Rea is a West Yorkshire-based environmental artist and creative director whose practice explores the relationship between people, ecology and the hidden systems of the natural world. Through immersive installations, sensory environments and participatory experiences, she creates work that inspires curiosity, environmental awareness and deeper connections with the living world.

Working across light, sculpture, textiles and repurposed materials, Rachel combines artistic research, environmental storytelling and circular design principles to transform complex scientific and ecological ideas into engaging, accessible experiences. Her practice draws on themes of biodiversity, biomimicry, climate resilience and material innovation, using creativity to reveal the often unseen processes that shape our environment.

As a creative director, Rachel develops and leads interdisciplinary projects that bring together artists, researchers, educators, communities and cultural organisations.
